GOOD TO KNOW…

Eyelash extensions are individual synthetic lashes that are professionally attached to your natural eyelashes using a special adhesive. The goal is to make lashes look longer, fuller, and darker without needing mascara.
Here’s a simple breakdown:
How they’re applied
A trained lash technician attaches one extension to one natural lash (or small lightweight fans for volume styles)
The process usually takes 1.5–3 hours
Your eyes stay closed the whole time
Types of lash extensions
Classic: one extension per natural lash (natural look)
Hybrid: mix of classic and volume
Volume: multiple ultra-thin lashes per natural lash (fuller look)
How long they last
Extensions fall out naturally as your real lashes shed
Typically last 2–4 weeks
“Fill” appointments help keep them looking full
Pros
No mascara needed
Customizable length, curl, and fullness
Wake up with lashes already done ✨
Things to know
They need proper care (no rubbing, oil-free products)

A patch test is important before eyelash extensions because it helps protect the client’s health and safety by checking for allergic reactions or sensitivity to the products used.
Here’s why it matters:
1. Detects allergic reactions
Lash adhesives contain chemicals that can cause reactions in some people
A patch test shows if the client may experience redness, itching, swelling, or irritation
2. Prevents serious eye problems
The eye area is very sensitive
A reaction near the eyes can lead to pain, infection, or vision issues
3. Especially important for first-time clients
Also important for clients with sensitive skin, allergies, asthma, or eczema
A patch test is usually done 24–48 hours before the appointment so there’s time for a reaction to appear.
